Remember that Apple commercial where they proclaimed, “There’s an app for that”? That’s become increasingly true over the last couple of years. There’s even Bible apps now, pretty awesome. We’re here to proclaim that, “There’s a verse for that!”. There has and always will be a Biblical verse for everything life throws at you. Whether you’re sad, happy, angry, confused, upset, or anything in between, you’ll find guidance from the Bible. It’s truly a Godsend (no literally!).
We recently put together a list to remind you that there’s a Biblical verse for that feeling you had, have, or are having. Check it out!
We’ll go over the rationale behind these recommendations now.
Generally upset? John 14
Jesus comforts his disciples in this verse. They’re concerned that they won’t know what to do when Jesus has left them. He tells them, “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”. This is something to remember the next time you’re feeling upset about something.
Tough time at work? Psalm 126
We all have tough days at work and Psalm 126 can help! It’s all about having fortunes restored. We’ve all had good times and they will come again.
Lacking direction? Psalm 73: 21-26
We’ve all felt lost before. Whether you were literally lost or feeling lost about something, Psalm 73 21-26 is the reminder you need. God will guide you to glory. He always guides us.
Worried about life? Matthew 9: 19-31
This verse is a good reminder that faith in the Lord will pay off. If you’re worried about something, show some faith. God will reward your faith in His own way.
Depression setting in? Psalm 27
Psalm 27 reminds us that the Lord is our “light and salvation”. What do you have to fear when the Lord is on your side. Do not despair in life’s struggles. God is with you!
Need some peace? Matthew 11: 25-30
This is a good verse to read if you seek peace. Bring your tired hear to the Lord and He will give you rest.
Money problems? Psalm 37
“The meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity”. You may have heard this before? Psalm 37 reminds us of this promise. Keep doing the right thing in life and you will be rewarded.
Others putting you down? John 15
This verse talks about being hated with no reason. Jesus reminds us that, “if the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first”. Jesus is on our side and as long as we remain on his, anybody who is against you is also against Christ.
Dangerous situation? Psalm 91
Psalm 91 talks about the protection that God offers us. “Under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart”.
Need to be brave? Joshua 1
This verse is about Joshua taking over as leader after Moses died. Talk about big shoes to fill? Joshua was undoubtedly full of fear, but needed to be brave.
Done something wrong? Psalm 51
This psalm will help calm you if you’ve sinned in any way. Read it and then get to Confession when you have a moment. We may always repent for our sins.
It seems impossible? Luke 18: 18-29
Whenever something seems like it’s impossible read this verse to be reminded that, “What is impossible with man is possible with God”. Never forget that!
Can’t forgive yourself? I John 1: 5-9
All we must do is confess our sins that we’re sorry for. God will forgive us! If God will forgive us, we should forgive us! Terrible grammar, but it proved a point.
Okay, so we’ll admit we don’t cover every single emotion you might feel in this post. Remember how “there’s an app for that”? Use your Google app, computer, or your own research skills the next time you have a problem. We guarantee you that there’s a Biblical verse for that!
