Ever wonder what all the colors you see at Mass mean? There must be a reason behind them, right? The liturgical colors give us a way to visualize different points during our year as Catholics. Knowing the reasoning behind the liturgical colors can help you know what time of year it is. It’s kind of like being able to tell the time by looking at where the sun is in the sky. For example, if you walk into a Catholic Church and see rose, you can safely assume it’s either the Third Sunday of Lent or the Fourth Sunday of Advent.
We found a handy chart over on uCatholic that helps organize all the liturgical colors. It offers explanations and when during the year you’ll see them too!
