Catholic Christmas Ornament Craft Ideas
Angel Ornament Craft
This Christmas ornament craft idea comes from Vicky at Mess for Less. While angels aren’t strictly Catholic, we found the idea to be faith-based in nature. Vicky asks in her post, “Does anything look cuter on a Christmas tree than ornaments made by a child?”. Good question Vicky! The answer is no.
The only things you’ll need to complete this craft are coffee filters, white glue, silver glitter, tape, a pipe cleaner, market, and clothespin. You can see the finished product in the image below.

Baby Jesus Ornament Craft
This idea comes from Lydia of AFB Today. We love that her idea gives us a way to place baby Jesus on our Christmas tree. We’re very much into the idea of Keeping Christ in Christmas here at The Catholic Gift Shop. It’s also a cool craft idea because it involves picking out a Biblical verse. This is a good opportunity to spend some time with your kids crafting and also reading the Bible. Win-win situation there!
To complete the Baby Jesus Ornament craft you’ll need a small paper plate, stapler, drawing of a face, a blank label, hole punch, and string or yarn. You can see the finished product in the image below.

The Birth of Christ Ornament Craft
This craft comes from Little Blots and is another one that contains a Biblical verse. For this craft you’ll want to stick with Luke 2:6-7 because the craft directly applies to that verse.
You’ll need 2 jumbo Popsicle sticks, brown felt, pink felt, raffia, and glue to complete this craft. You can see the finished product below.
We love that you glue the Christmas verse to front of the manger craft. Again, keeping Christ’s birth the center of the season is crucial and this craft does just that!

Paperclip Angel Ornament Craft
This idea comes from Crafty Journal and is another one that features angels. While not specifically Catholic, we found these little paperclip angels too cute not to include. The author of the post says they’re quite easy to make and that it’s possible to create several in an hour! Sounds like a quick and easy craft you could do after school with the kids.
You’ll need 12mm pink round pearl beads, butterfly paperclips, and 1/8 inch wide ribbon. We love the simplicity of this craft and the step-by-step analysis used to explain it. We made a bunch right here at The Catholic Gift Shop just for fun!
